I know that I had my ups and downs at Hallway of Life but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for putting up with me for sooo long. I truly believe that if you had not opened up Hallway of Life and if I did not have the love and support that you all gave me in my early recovery...I would not be the strong healthy sober woman that I am today! I will forever be grateful to you for all that you did to hel me. And now I understand why you had the rules and cleaning guidelines you did. I still recommend for girls to go to Hallway of Life. Thank you!!! God Bless You!!! ~J.F
My life three years ago is nothing in comparison to what it is today. I struggled for over 8 years with anorexia/bulimia and over 4 years with substances. I didn't know how to go a day without manipulating, lying, cheating, or stealing. My life was centered around me and what I could get from other people. I had no concept that my actions were hurting other people, namely my family. I had no future and really didn't care, I was living my life trying to feel
something that never came. When I first arrived at Hallway of Life I was a mess. I didn't know how to talk or interact with other people. I was convinced that everyone disliked me because I wasn't pretty enough, thin enough, smart enough, social enough, rich enough, kind enough, in essence I believed I was nothing. In the beginning I didn't try to change any of my behaviors or thinking, I was what you call a dry drunk (a miserable way to live). The staff at Hallway of Life helped me change my way of thinking and was there for me when I was ready to come to them. They gave me the guidance and support that I was desperately needing. While living at Hallway of Life I learned many elemental aspects of everyday living. I was expected to obtain a job and a sponsor. They required me to clean and attend meetings. They encouraged me to have a social life and be productive with my time. I was able to relearn how to live and start a new way of life. The [staff at Hallway of Life] helped me become the woman I am today. Without their guidance and support I don't want to imagine where I would be. I truly believe that Dr. Hall has been given a gift from God to help struggling women with all kinds of addictions. She helped save my life and my family, friends, and I will forever be thankful for that. Today I live in a world where I can walk freely among everyone. I no longer look behind me to see what next destructive obstacle is coming my way. I look forward and embrace the life I have been gifted with. It truly is a miracle the transformation that I have undergone. I just want everyone to experience what I have and would like to recommend Hallway of Life Recovery Center for anyone looking to experience what I did. ~J.J
I am writing you this letter to let you know how much I valued my treatment experience. I would like to say thank you to everyone that helped save my life. Without your support, I probably wouldn't be where I am to today. It was recommended that I go to a sober living environment and I decided on Hallway of Life Recovery Center, Inc. In this environment, I was able to practice the skills that were taught to me in treatment and continue changing my behavior. Their structured environment, encouraging supportive program and experienced staff really helped me continue getting my life back. It’s so great to be sober today. I stayed beyond my initial 90-day commitment and many of my friends have stayed 9 months to well over a year. So many of my friends at Hallway have worked their steps and picked up their year medallions. There have been many challenges, but I have been able to face them a lot better because of God’s help, treatment, Hallway, and all of my positive encouraging sober supports. I have learned to live in the moment and not get ahead of myself but I know that I have a bright future ahead. For this I will always be grateful God, to you, and to Hallway of Life Recovery Center, Inc.

Dear Dr. Hall,
I was just going through some old bills and accounting and I thought of you. I truly just wanted to let you know that B.T is doing so well.Once in a lifetime someone comes along that makes a huge difference in a human beings life and for Britt YOU are that once in a lifetime. She is such an awesome mommy of a 1 year old son. She is in a healthy, happy relationship with his daddy. She uses all of the tools that you taught her to succeed. She's about to finish up on her teaching degree and has a huge gift with children, and will go on to touch lives as you do. She's been successfully employed with a day care center, but chooses at this time to stay home and teach her son herself. Our relationship as mom and daughter, and now nana of her son is GREAT. Dr. Hall , I just wanted to say thank you, and to let you know YOU do make a difference. B.S thought the world of you. She thought about calling you and calling upon you many times after your sessions with her, and instead she just called upon the things that you taught her to succeed. You are so gifted. And WE are so blessed to have crossed your path. Thank you and may God Bless You and those lives that you touch in the future.
Sincerely,
J.T.
